The Residence 9 name comes from the 100mm window system having 9 chambers, making it thermally insulating, secure and superb for acoustics. That’s just the start though if we’re talking about its strongest points as it can achieve an A+ energy rating and also accommodate 44mm triple glazing and 28mm double glazing. The U-Values of R9 are so low and easily exceed the stringent requirements laid out in UK Building Regulations. Your energy bills will cost a fraction of what they do now and your house will be noticeably more comfortable.

COLOURS & FINISHES

It was always the case that 19th Century windows would have a painted finish and not be stained, which is the reasoning behind Residence windows being available in so many colours. Colours can be mixed, if that’s what you want, should you want to have a Grained White finish on the external side of the frame and English Oak colour internally. The sensible thing to do would be to pick an internal finish that complements your home decor so that the windows are in harmony with it.
