Paulownia offers excellent stability due to it’s engineered core which greatly reduces the possibility of warping. It’s fine texture, knot-free appearance and low oil content make it the perfect timber for staining and painting.
Basswood – One of the most desired hardwood to make shutters from, higher density than Paulownia which offers greater stability and durability ideal for bigger opening. It offers excellent dimensional stability due to it’s engineered core which greatly reduces the possibility of warping. A high quality hardwood offering a smooth and consistent grain making it perfect for painting.
All of our wooden shutter use mortice and tenon joinery, and undergo an extensive kin drying process, prior to being machined.
PVC – Perfect for high moisture room like bathroom or wet rooms, being a man made product PVC will outlast any wooden shutter. They have an excellent temperature operating range, will never warp, peel or flake. In addition they are perfectly suitable for areas where hygiene is important.
