What Is A Loggia?

We have incorporated many new products into our range over the past few years but the Loggia conservatory has arguably created the biggest storm.

Large Cream Loggia Conservatory

Offering a design that’s part conservatory, part orangery, the Loggia is heavily influenced by the Italian Renaissance period and the work of one of the leading architects of that time, Filippo Brunelleschi.

Our most lusted after conservatory design

The modernised version of the Loggia that we supply combines light and sky and contains solid corner columns that give it an unrivalled strength. To help it feel like a natural extension of the home, the internal walls and ceiling are beautifully plastered.

It also provides a guaranteed all-year round setting due to the exceptionally low U-values delivered courtesy of the thermally efficient roof and glazing, meaning there’s no chance of it overheating in summer and feeling excessively cold in winter. Most Loggia conservatories consume half of the heat energy a similarly sized conservatory demands.

Quick to install…

You would think that such an extravagant extension would take a long time a long time to build. That is surprisingly not the case as the Loggia can be constructed quicker than brick built or block and render conservatories or orangeries. It helps that they usually meet current building regulations.

When built to the highest of standards, a Loggia provides you with something in total contrast to conventional conservatories and orangeries as it possesses the toughness of an extension and internal surroundings like nothing else.

A delectable design…

Unlike a normal conservatory design, a Loggia can accommodate traditional premium sash windows for those wanting an authentic look. This is thanks to the solid square columns and their front to back depth of 300mm that can be built either side of most windows.

The perimeter plastered ceiling will also house spotlights and downlighters that you can turn on to bring the space alive at night.

For added styling, contemplate the inclusion of a cornice. Its gorgeous detailing will seemingly heighten the structure and further enhance the atmosphere.
