This sensational warm spell may have seen you turn your back on the inside of your house for lengthy periods but you needn’t do that as you can experience the best of both worlds with the installation of bi-folding doors.
Capable of being configured to accommodate up to 8 individual door leafs, bi-folding doors enable you to create a vast opening between your home and garden. They can include as few as 2 door leafs if you only have a limited amount of wall space available, but even then the opening they offer will be generous enough to draw lots of the garden into the house.
Whatever opening you decide to generate, it will give you option of experiencing the indoor and outdoor environments much more easily while being in close proximity to both. It will also cause a constant rush of air to flow into your interior and keep it beautifully cool on those occasions when temperatures are at their highest.
On the face of it, you would imagine needing to apply decent pressure to manoeuvre bi-folding doors open and to close them. But looks are often deceiving! They’re manufactured from aluminium and aluminium is surprisingly lightweight, so you can barely need to push to get the full set of door leafs folding and running across the tracking system.
It would be foolish for any of us to think that this weather will last forever, of course it won’t. Winter isn’t a million miles away and you’ll still be glad to have invested in bi-folding doors as they’ll provide you with a stunning view of the outdoors. This is due to the integration of giant glazed sections within the aluminium frames and these frames are unbelievably slim giving you lots of glass and very little frame.
