Summer is a great time of year to make the following three enhancements to your home extension and revive the space:
- Install a solid roof with roof window
It is practically impossible to utilise some conservatories during the summer months because they’re unbearably hot. This happens because the roofing system has ceased to supply the necessary thermal efficiency required.
The installation of a solid roof in place of the existing roof will ensure that your interior stays cool throughout the heat and warms up the structure in winter. Including a roof window in the solid roof will also draw in more natural light to help energise the interior and make it feel more spacious.
- Add some “greenery”
Earlier in 2017, colour specialists Pantone christened “Greenery” at their colour of the year – a zesty yellow-green colour.
Show that you’re right on-trend by adding greenery coloured soft furnishings like cushions and coverings to your conservatory furniture. Further greenery can be brought inside by housing plants and flowers on any tables or available window ledges within the extension.
- Declutter and clean
When was the last time you gave your conservatory a thorough clear-out or had the outside of the structure cleaned?
Get your hands dirty and give the inside a deep clean once anything unnecessarily clogging up space has been neatly stored away. Or find the sites of cleaning services and get help. You could also rearrange any furniture. Then make sure you attend to the exterior of the building either by scrubbing the glass and framework free of any marks yourself or hire a conservatory cleaning specialist to do if for you.
