How To Get Your Home Looking Festive For Christmas

This will be a Christmas like no other, but it can still be enjoyed. It really is what you make of it.

Get that festive feeling by organising ‘virtual’ Christmas parties with your friends and work colleagues in the run-up to the big day, and decorate the house for Santa.

You might gain an extra present or two from him if you go the extra mile and do on-trend decorations, very much like these three ideas:

Hang a Christmas tree from the ceiling

No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you if you’ve seen lots of upside-down Christmas trees on your Instagram account recently.

Ariana Grande is one of the many thousands of people across the world doing it, a craze that dates back to the Middle Ages and is having a big renaissance in 2020.

Stockists of upside-down trees include Christmas Tree World, and it will stop the family pet from getting their teeth into your tree.

Style your stairs for the season

Doors get dressed up for Christmas, and so do our windows, but what about our stairs too? They shouldn’t be left bare.

Your bannister is crying out to be dressed with an all-natural garland from top to bottom, either on the top of it or along its base, and the rails can also have a stringed garland weaved around them.

Use the steps for decorative purposes too, adding Christmas boxes to each step, right up to the top.

Wrap your front door

There’s not just presents to be wrapped for Christmas, there’s also your front door.

To do it, you will only need some suitably coloured fabric, a large bow, scissors, a heavy duty magnet and some duct tape.

The door must be measured accurately so that the fabric can be cut to size, and then the door can be wrapped with it. To keep the bow in place, just use the heavy duty magnet.

Eden Windows can sort you out with a new front door if your current door lacks the necessary visual appeal. Just ask us to give you a FREE quote for one.
