Want To Know What The Biggest Home Trends Will Be In 2020?

We imagine you will do if you’ve taken a long hard look at the inside of your home after taking down your Christmas decorations and decided that it needs freshening up somehow.

You will be especially intrigued to discover what other householders around the world will be doing to their home interiors if it’s a project you haven’t undertaken before and you’re short of inspiration.

It’s also vital that any home makeover job is in keeping with current trends so that your efforts don’t go to waste and you’re left with the hippest home interior on the street. So, without further ado, here are the home trends Eden Windows knows will be HOT in 2020…

‘Tranquil Dawn’ and ‘Classic Blue’ will be the top two-colour choices

There’s always a huge amount of suspense and speculation ahead of Dulux and Pantone revealing their choice of Colour of the Year and it’s ‘Tranquil Dawn’ and ‘Classic Blue’ they have respectively opted for in 2020.

’A soft pale green, the Creative Director of Dulux remarked: “A new decade heralds a new dawn and the hazy pale green tones of Tranquil Dawn are calming and comforting just when we need it most in our lives.”

‘Classic Blue’ has been described by Pantone as “a reassuring presence instilling calm, confidence and connection”. Design experts suggest that the bedroom is the best place to use ‘Classic Blue’ in some fashion, maybe as a feature wall or through small soft furnishings and accessories.

Animal prints will do a roaring trade

Any animal lovers will be pleased to hear that animal prints are making a comeback, so get yourself a leopard print throw or zebra print rug.

Don’t go too mad with the animal prints though for fear of your interior resembling Del Boy’s gaff at Nelson Mandela House.

Begin with a few small accessories, and if they prove a hit with guests, you could always dare to put up some animal print curtains.

Fishy furniture is set to be in fashion

No, we don’t mean that suspect sofas will be all the rage! We’re talking about scalloped-shaped furniture, which ‘shell’ be much sought after over the next 12 months.

You can get statement chairs and sofas with a consistent set of recurrent arcs, just like the shape of a scallop shell, and very much in the Art Deco style.

Some great examples of scalloped furniture can be viewed here.
