Real-Life Tales Of Some Of Eden’s Living Space Love Stories
Eden Windows has accumulated lots of these ‘love stories’ and with it being the month of Valentine’s Day, thought it would be a good time to share a couple of them.
The Cartwrights and Morleys instantly fell for their new living spaces pretty much from the second they got to experience them for the first time and these are the real-life tales of how these Eden extensions reawakened a home love affair.
Hunger for luxurious dining
Eight years on from moving into their home, the Cartwrights had started to suffer from a lack of space indoors and with no desire to move, explored the idea of growing the property.
They loved the existing kitchen-diner, but wanted an additional dining area for mealtimes with an outdoor vibe i.e., bright and airy, to replicate the sensation of eating al fresco.
In search of inspiration they travelled to our showroom and encountered a glass roof conservatory that fitted the bill in terms of size and was also customisable.
A single, dependable installer
“We liked that Eden had a team that included experts in all specialised fields of design and installation so that we wouldn’t need to hire any external contractors.
“From our first conversation with them it became obvious that they were really clued up on home improvements and could be trusted.
“It was a slight worry to us that the conservatory would get chilly in cold weather because glass occupies much of the design, but that hasn’t been the case – it’s always cosy when we have a coffee inside it on a Sunday morning.”
New space for a new arrival
Future considerations dictated the house choice of the Morleys, who when looking to depart their old home scouted out properties that had space to be extended. Once a new baby was on its way, they proceeded to go ahead with expanding the building they’d not long moved into.
Their thought was for it to accommodate an open plan lounge/living/kitchen area where lots of cooking and entertaining could go on with space for the little one to play.
An approach was made to Eden for assistance and we arranged a date to visit and examine the intended location of the orangery. It was whilst there that we encouraged the Morleys to come to our showroom and they were glad they took our advice.
Technology that tantalised
“We never imagined that the technology in the showroom would allow us to observe a true to life impression of the glass roof orangery superimposed onto our house – that told us so much.
“Eden took charge of everything once we had signed the final contract, including building regulations, and within just six weeks of that, the extension was ours.
“It catches a great amount of natural light, giving it an uplifting ambience that’s not uncomfortably warm, and we find it a great spot to keep a keen eye on our child when they’re in the garden.”
