It doesn’t help that there are so many window and door specialists to choose from, including Eden Windows.
In our opinion, if you want a company you can wholeheartedly trust to do a great job, you should only choose an installer that’s part of a reputable Competent Person Scheme, like Certass.
Established by the Department for Communities and Local Government in 2006, Certass stands for ‘CERTification and ASSessment’.
They regulate the double-glazing industry and ensure that all installations completed by its members comply with building regulations.
To become a Certass member, an installer is thoroughly vetted and must demonstrate exceptional work and service standards, which are scrutinised by an assessor.
We went through that process ourselves and thankfully met the standards that Certass expects.
But the scrutiny doesn’t end there.
Certass continuously monitors it members and has the power to retract the membership of any installer if their performance levels slide.
When you use a Certass installer, you will receive an Insurance Backed Guarantee for the work and the installation will be certified, with a certificate handed to you as proof of that.
You will need this certificate if you ever try and sell your home as it will need to be handed over to the new owner of the property. The absence of this certificate could hold up a sale.
One other reason to choose a Certass member is that Certass will step in if you want to level a complaint against a member for poor workmanship. They will try and resolve any grievances.
Certass membership is just of three high-profile accreditations that Eden Windows has amassed.
We are also proud to be a member of the Ultra Conservatory Installer Scheme and Atlas Approved Installer Network. Visit our About page to find out more.
